Over many years the church building of St Andrew's Sharrow (Anglican) Church became progressively more unsafe because of shifting foundations at the West end. Finally, in 1996, the building was abandoned and the congregation joined with that of Psalter Lane Methodist Church in 1998 to begin the adventure of a shared ministry. The old building has now been knocked down although the Church Centre remains. The Psalter Lane building has now been redeveloped, with a splendid new foyer and extended meeting facilities. St Andrew's Hall

Originally serving as St Andrew's Church Centre, St Andrew's Hall is now run as an independent neighbourhood centre for the local community, managed by the scout troop. Hire rates: Community groups: £9 per hour; Business groups: £10 per hour; Casual users (occasional meetings, birthday celebrations, etc) £15.00 per hour.
