I am delighted to be able to advise that the University of Sheffield, the Sheffield Teachihg Hospitals NHS Trust and the City Council are actively discussing a new Park & Ride proposal. University staff have been asked to give feedback on a suggestion for using the Tesco site on Abbeydale Road as hub for a new half-hourly service. Early feedback indicates that there would be some welcome for a service that started at Abbeydale Road and had perhaps one or two stops along the route, e.g. Nether Edge and Hunters Bar. This suggestion would help to retain the 'express' feel while avoiding the trundling uncertainties of the 8/9 service. No promises, but ...
