Abbeydale Picture House

The Abbeydale Picture House was opened in 1920 and is one of the few cinemas of its age still standing today. The building was saved by the Friends of the Abbeydale Picture House in 2005 and they are working hard to restore it to its former glory. The restoration project is creating a much needed community venue for performing arts, static art, visual media, theatre, dance, live music and cinema.

Merlin Theatre & Tintagel House are now part of Freeman College ( www.ruskin-mill.org.uk ) and run by the Ruskin Mill Education Trust.
The theatre is closed pending renovation.
