Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting is normally held in May. It is bound by the terms of the Constitution, which is amended from time to time. As with any other AGM the main business is concerned with (a) receiving reports, (b) approving financial details (including the appointment of the Auditor), (c) election of Officers and (d) election of the General Committee. Members are always welcome on these occasions as the AGM provides an opportunity for the exercise of local democracy.

36th Annual General Meeting

This was held on Thursday 21st May 2009. A report from the chair is available here.

Reports of earlier meetings may be seen as follows:- 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2001.

Subscriptions & Membership

Any resident person in Nether Edge can become a member of the Neighbourhood Group. The actual area covered broadly extends from Psalter Lane down to Abbeydale Road and includes parts of Brincliffe, Sharrow and — over Brincliffe Edge — down to Bannerdale Road.

You can join either as a household or as an individual. Each subscription entitles you to a single vote at the Annual General Meeting, i.e. two paid-up members of a household are each entitled to vote whilst a joint subscription gives one voter for the household. The subscription also entitles members to ten issues of the 'EDGE' newsletter per year.

The annual subscription is currently £6.00 and the concessionary rate, for students and OAPs, is £3.00. You can, of course, give more if you wish and many members do so.

If you would like to join us, click Membership Application form. You can print it out, fill it in and send it with your cheque or postal order to the Membership Secretary.
