Who we are?

Since it started in April 2004, NEWW has grown steadily and now has around sixty-five members, most of whom take part in guided local walks and visits to nature reserves, attend indoor meetings through the winter months or have been involved in local clear-ups, wildflower and spring bulb plantings in the Nether Edge Conservation Area.

We aim to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of preserving the rich variety of local wildlife against ever-increasing threats to habitats and the environment in general.

To achieve this we hope to:

§  Host a varied programme of indoor meetings and field visits with specialist speakers and guides;

§  Keep an accessible record of our sightings;

§  Develop our website;

§  Actively support suitable wildlife projects at a local or national level.

We wish to maintain close links with the Nether Edge Neighbourhood Group.

Become a member of Nether Edge Wildlife Watch and join us on our 2008 programme of Spring, Summer and early Autumn outdoor visits. For details click on Future Meetings.
